Setting a trajectory for Harvard’s 5th century: Sustainable inclusive excellence in STEM
Abstract: Since 2018, Harvard University has made an aggressive push to realize sustainable inclusive excellence (SIE), guided by the findings and recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging. Appointed as Senior Advisor and Strategist to the President in April 2018, Dr. Wilson, led the effort to set a firm foundation for Harvard’s new SIE pursuit. After describing the University-wide SIE progress made in the last two years, he will underscore the importance of optimizing diversity, inclusion and belonging in Harvard’s STEM fields, and particularly in OEB.
