Ned Friedman, Director of The Arnold Arboretum, collaborated with Joseph G. Allen and Marc Lipsitch, Harvard School of Public Health, to write an article for The Washington Post on the importance of public parks, botanical gardens, and arboreta during the COVID-19 pandemic. The faculty members spoke of best practices and reminded the world of the incredible importance of time in nature for mental health and well-being.
